St. Tighernachs Fundraiser, House of Lords 2009

Friday October 2nd, we were back at our 'second home', supporting a fundraising dinner at the House of Lords for St. Tighernachs Church in Clones (Co. Monaghan). It was a truly international event with guests attending from Ireland (north and south), England, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, and even as far as Pakistan!

The music was equally eclectic Mr Johan Löfving, a talented classical guitarist entertained, male choir Ulricae Drängar provided a repertoire spanning from classical to barbershop; Scottish Highland Dancers were superb and with Luton and Bedford Lambeg Drumming Club drawing the evening to a close in fine style.

Most importantly the event raised over 10,000 Euros for St. Tighernach's Church, and a closing speech from Reverend Helene T. Steed highlighted that this church's future is indeed bright.

Further information about the event, along with contact details (should you wish to contribute to the fund) is available on the Church of Ireland Diocesan News.
