LOL 1690 launch at the Boyne, 2009
The club was back at the Boyne on Saturday 30th May as guests of Lord Laird of Artigarvan supporting the launch of LOL 1690 at the historical site of the Williamite victory in 1690.
Our drummers appeared not only on RTE news, but also supplied interviews for Reuters News and made the front page of the Drogeda Independent (as pictured below).

The club joined members of the Orange Order including both Grandmasters of England and Ireland, Ulster Scots groups including the Schomberg Society, Mourne Young Defenders and Scottish dancers in celebrating the launch of LOL 1690 and the campaign to rebuild the Boyne Obelisk that previously stood at Oldbridge, Drogheda.
The Orange parade made history, and the club extends profound thanks to Lord Laird for kindly inviting us to participate.
